'...all the way to basin view"

basin view - booderee national park - milton, nsw

for the airy gold of 4'o'clock
for the hand stroke of smooth ancient gum tree
for the ripple of water and seaweed necklace
for my handsome men in the sunset
for the blue of sky, roaring waves and windy cliffs
for the lazy kangaroos and the jumping chompsky-dog
for treasures on a window sill
(in the house of friends we love)
for tiny hands exploring
for laughter and late-night board games
for tiny townships and stencil art
thanks and more,
for these three days away
for this heartland
season, sky palette,
homemade custard,
and the warmth of kin.
