at our fingertips

these beautiful early spring days - we savour as much time outdoors as we can - watching crocuses emerge, branches bud, leaves unfurl... the little one laughs joyously as outdoors is his absolutely preferred place to be, flaps arms and jingles the front door key, digs around in the dirt - and sometimes we join in, chase after him, or stand still and soak in fresh air and shrill bird song....

and I find myself seaming and threading purple and green - on a soft linen cover for my bible, on felt for brooches and tea purses, bright pillow cases for home and some other dainty springtime things for the shop (which you can fine here)

  5. they are quite amazing aren't they? But really I don't think they are as magical as the sweet-smelling freesias that pop up in Australian lawns come Spring!

  8. The downside to bone-chilling winter is experiencing a true spring with lawns of crocus.
