along a fast train,
up windy roads,
breathe thin alpine air,
and sigh -
white snow capped,
mountain morning view,
pine and log and cone,
birds circling -
snowboarding lover,
rugged up babe,
an anniversary,
wonderful company -
and a tiny house of honey,
afternoon strolls
with dog and her frisbee,
her wagging tail
(and tongue, fur and everything)
is endless delight
to the littlest one -
many cups of tea,
window-watching,
chattering,
recipe-writing,
reflecting, sketching -
pausing...
breathing long and soft,
this brilliant high up place.

wonderful company -
a stomach-dropping ride
to a biddy montane village
a one-room chapel with wood carved doorsand a tiny house of honey,

ReplyDeleteWow what beauty abounds!!!
ReplyDeleteTHAT photo of you holding Reu with the mountains behind you.....Wow stunning; worthy of an exhibition!
Really really beautiful: the blue tone of the alps, Reu's hand on his knee, the woven sticks....:)
Wow and wow. Such beauty! I can't get over the photo of you and Reu with that stunning mountain view right behind you.

Beautiful pictures! :)
ReplyDeleteWho knew winter could be so lovely?
ReplyDeleteThis is why you go to Europe and brave that cold. Wonderous.
ReplyDeleteEver the catching up blog reader...these photos are beautiful Emily. I love the textures of the woven sticks against the plaster, and the stacked logs. Immediately saw the potential for art jewellery. As you do.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you all, Wendy
I would like to drop everything and run there right now!
