sling diaries I - delight

delight is being among the unleaving chestnut trees
is keeping you close and warm,
delight is remembering one year ago
among the same trees -
when you were growing in my womb
listening to my heart,
delight is catching sunbeams
as they dance across the river
kissing your so soft cheeks,
is how you feel like home...

    1. Thanks :) His hat is a recent thrift find and my mama gave me the tights for my birthday... Love glimpses of Spring on the other side of the world!

    1. Thanks Alice dear :) And its actually a wrappy grey dress; but (as they so often do) its sticking a bit to my tights giving off a pantaloon vibe :)

  11. Emily! You have no idea how long I've been meaning to pop in and comment...I read most of my favourite blogs as I feed little Saskia to sleep and it just never quite works for me to type out responses...But here I am with a few minutes up my sleeve on a blustery day (not gardening weather), excited to see you as a SB diarist. You compose your posts so beautifully - so I am genuinely looking forward to reading about your sling adventures. I have that same sling...it's such a beautifully maternal thing to wear your little one so close. I know it makes Saskia happy, but it also gives me that rush of love feeling too x
